A place for us to all talk.... add comments. Obviously the hotel payment and relocation situation is a nightmare.

I dont understand the whole email about holding a meeting for everyone tomorrow to discuss options, which is obviously not happening, then the email we got later on saying that our option was Newark, we hardly pay this much rent to take the path train in from Newark! This whole thing is rediculous, we live in Manhattan for a reason and they should be providing lodging in the city if they expect people to not be upset over this whole thing

The whole situation is completely unacceptable. I agree with your post, hotel accommodations should be provided in New York City NOT New Jersey! And frankly double your daily pro-rated rent per night (which I heard they might be offering) will not get you much in Manhattan. It won’t even cover a decent hotel!

Everyone who lives in the building should be compensated properly for the food they lost, for full hotel accommodations throughout the duration of this issue as well as the food expensense for the two weeks you are without a kitchen. People who have pets should have all their pet expenses covered. We should not be responsible for paying any rent to 90 West for the month of December given this situation. Nor should we be required to cover the utilities or cable bills since it’s not a choice that we cannot live in the building.

The meeting is tonight at 6:00pm so I think everyone will stand together against the management since this is absolutely ridiculous. And why they set the meeting at 6pm doesn’t make sense as many people work well past that time!
